Tree falls on Lakehead trailer
LAKEHEAD, Calif. -

The death of a Shasta County man may be the first weather-related fatality from the winter storm that hit the Northstate this week.

Saturday morning the body of the victim was found inside a trailer that was crushed by a tree.  A huge pine tree fell on top of the trailer on private property behind a RV park on Gregory Creek Road in Lakehead.

Family and friends tell KRCR News Channel 7 the man was in his early 60’s and had been living in the trailer for about a year.

The tree is approximately two feet in diameter at the base.  Law enforcement expects to be on the scene for most of the day.  They are having difficulty reaching the man’s body due to the tree blocking their way.
