Man Stabbed Behind Big Lots; Suspects On The Loose

Police are searching for 2 men who attacked a man near the Big Lots store Tuesday morning in Redding.

The victim, 49-year-old Kevin Wilcox told Redding Police he was walking behind the Big Lots store on Hilltop Drive just after 2 a.m. when 2 men struck him and stabbed him in the leg.

They stole his bag and his cellphone.

He was taken to Mercy Medical Center  with non-life threatening injuries.

His smashed phone was recovered nearby.

The suspects are described as 2 white men in their 20's. They are both tall, and clean shaven, wearing jeans and light-colored shirts.
