Medical Marijuana Cultivation Ordinance Passes

The Butte County Board of Supervisors met Tuesday morning in Oroville and approved a marijuana ordinance that would allow the cultivation of medical marijuana in the unincorporated parts of Butte County.
The ordinance passed with a four to one vote and Larry Wahl was the dissenting vote.
With its passing, the ordinance will allow up to 99 plants on properties larger than 40 acres. For properties smaller than a half an acre, indoor growths will be allowed in a detached building.
