RED BLUFF, Calif. -

A Northstate cowgirl is featured on a bottle of wine.

Tehama Oaks Winery in Red Bluff is the maker of the wine. They held a Wild West release party for it Sunday afternoon.

Nellie Williams is featured on, what they call, the "Barrel Racer Red" wine. It's a blend of Merlot, Syrah and Petite Sirah.

This is the second series of wines released for the Red Bluff Round-Up. Last year, Tehama Oaks released "Red Rock Red," which has a picture of the 1987 world champion bucking bull, "Red Rock," on it.

Nellie is a 2006 West Valley High school graduate.

She's been competing since she was a kid and finished the 2010 season ranked 7th in the world.

The winemaker, Bob Douglas, said Nellie is a hometown hero.

"It's only fitting that we would have Nellie Willams, local Tehama County cowgirl, on the label. We're very proud of Nellie and so were trying to honor her career," Douglas told us.

This will be the first time in more than 20 years that Nellie won't be in town for the round-up.

You can still try the wine at the Tehama Oaks Winery. It will also be poured at the Bikini Barrel race on Wednesday.
