Officer Spots Drug Deal in Wal-Mart Parking Lot

ANDERSON, Calif. -

A Siskiyou County man is facing drug charges after police say they spotted him making a sale in the parking lot of the Anderson Wal-Mart.

31-year-old David Lee Maniord, of Yreka, was spotted by officers just after 9:30 Sunday night.

After watching him make what appeared to be a drug deal, police followed his car and made a traffic stop.

A search of the vehicle turned up 52.3 grams of methamphetamine,a handgun and ammunition, a ski mask, and a police scanner.
