PARADISE, Calif. -

Butte County man faces up to four years in prison after pleading no contest in a hit and run crash that killed an elderly man in Paradise.

Timothy McCollum, 57, pleaded no contest in Butte County Court Wednesday.

He was arrested for the hit and run accident that killed Myron Bolstead, 73, on the night of February 14.  Bolstead was crossing Clark Road near Paradise Alliance Church when he was hit by a car that drove away.

McCollum lwas arrested 8 days later.   He initially told prosecutors the damage to his car was caused when he  hit a dog.  He'll be sentenced in May.
