A Tehama County man is in jail after police say he was chasing children with a knife.
22-year-old Timothy Robbins was arrested just before 2:30 Wednesday afternoon.
Red Bluff police tell us Robbins tried to steal a dog near the corner of Franklin and Cedar Streets and then he started chasing the children.
When he was found, Robbins didn't have the knife, but he was acting strangely.
He was arrested on a probation violation.
Nobody was hurt.
