Police: Teen Burglar Jumps from 2nd-Story Window to Escape

CHICO, Calif. -

Police said a teenage burglar jumped out the second story of a home in Chico after being confronted by the homeowner.

It happened around noon on Thursday in the 13-hundred block of Salem Street. After jumping out the window, the teen landed on the ground, then took off on a bicycle.

The suspect was spotted at West 12th and Normal Streets then led police on a chase through several neighborhoods. He was later caught with items that had been taken from the home.  He was booked into the Butte County Juvenile Hall.
