Anderson Police said a woman was stabbed multiple times while taking a shower in her home late Sunday afternoon.

According to police the stabbing was reported at 3:36 p.m. from a home on the 1300 block of Diamond Street in Anderson.

Police said the woman had been stabbed between three to five times with a kitchen knife on her hands and arms.

The woman told police nothing appeared to be missing from the home.

The victim was taken to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Police said they were able to locate the knife at the home.

The suspect is described as a thin, white male in his 20s and was wearing a dark-colored sweatshirt.
