RED BLUFF, Calif. -

A Red Bluff parolee is in jail after a robbery at knife point Monday afternoon.

The victims called police to report the incident just before 2:00 p.m. saying they had just been robbed inside their home at 745 Lakeside Drive.

They told officers 26-year-old Ruben Banuelos, Jr. entered the home and threatened the victims with a large knife before leaving with a second man.

Police stopped the suspects vehicle on Flores Rd. near Interstate 5.

Banuelos tried to run away and received minor injuries when he tried to climb a barbed wire fence.

Officers eventually caught Banuelos and found him in possession of a large knife and property taken from the victims.

He was arrested on charges of robbery, possession of stolen property, resisting arrest, and a parole hold.
