REDDING, Calif. -

After weeks of surveillance, Redding Police Officers have arrested a documented gang member.

A search warrant was served at a home on Larkspur Lane by the Redding Police Department Gang Unit Friday.

Investigators said they've been tracking Eddie Banuelos for weeks.

When they searched the home, they found a loaded handgun, more than seven ounces of marijuana, Oxycodone and Methadone pills, ammunition and thousands of dollars in cash.

Investigators believe Banuelos has been selling drugs for an extended period of time as a way to support his status in a criminal street gang.

Banuelos was arrested for possession of marijuana and pills for sales, maintaining a household for the purpose of drug trafficking, possession of a loaded firearm and for actively participating in a criminal street gang. He was also arrested for three arrest warrants in regards to traffic violations.
