NorthstateThe California Highway Patrol tells KRCR that the state is losing money because drivers aren’t registering their vehicles. CHP warns that if you don’t register your vehicle, then you could be prosecuted. If you just relocated to the Northstate, or California in general,  then here’s a reminder. You only have 20 days to register your car from the day you moved.

You must register your vehicle in California if you: 1) are registered to vote in California; 2) are employed here; 3) pay tuition; 4) have dependents in local schools;  5) rent or lease a place to live.
