Kelly Jacob’s house was in the line of fire as the stream started to breach its banks. It crested the small bridge near her house, ripping up the pavement as it went.
Nothing was damaged at Jacob’s house, but they did lose two big ceramic pots to the raging torrent.
Shasta County Sheriff officials say they already have voluntary evacuations in effect for three families at the end of Hot Springs Road. They will implement mandatory evacuations if the river continues to rise.
