As of Sunday, the US Forest Service said the Coal Fire has destroyed 241 acres but is now 100% contained.
The northbound lane of Interstate 5 is restricted to one-lane traffic to ensure firefighter safety for those working along the the I5 corridor near Gilman Road.
The Forest Service said continuing fire containment efforts are still in progress.
Officials said crews made significant progress during the daytime shift on Saturday.
Containment efforts continued overnight with engines and hand crews working the night shift.
One outbuilding and one travel trailer were destroyed, as well as 32 power poles that have left 150 people without power.
PG&E personnel are currently working to restore power to those residents.
Less than two months ago, the Salt Creek Fire burned almost a thousand acres of land near the same location.
