REDDING, Calif. -

Thousands visited the Sundial Bridge in Redding Thursday night. They saw the bridge lit up in pink lights as a show of support in the fight against breast cancer.

It takes several days and 210 colored gels to give the Sundial Bridge its pink hue.  Thursday was designated as Think Pink Day in the Northstate.

There were also 1,000 luminaries lighting the River Trail.  They had a pink ribbon bag with a battery-operated candle.  Each bag represented a loved one who had been affected by breast cancer.
