REDDING, Calif. -

Two teens ran from the scene after crashing a car into a street light.

Redding Police told KRCR News Channel 7 it happened a little after 5:30 p.m. Friday night on Morning Dew Way.

The pole was dented and leaning and its light ended up in a neighbors yard. The crash also led to a broken a water main, which was right under the pole.

Officers say two 14 year old boys were in the car. One was found, but the other is still on the loose.

Zach Johnson lives on Morning Dew Way and told us, "Kinda sounded like when you take glass cups and you drop them and they crack." Johnson also said he saw the teens take off toward Nicolet Lane.

The teens' names are being withheld because they're minors. Officers say they'll likely be charged with joy riding, reckless driving, and driving without a license.
