A trial date has been set for a Redding man accused of stabbing his girlfriend's father at a Starbucks last October.
Travis Kuks, 19, will appear in Shasta County court on April 9 for his first day of trial. Last month Kuks pled not guilty to attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon after he allegedly stabbed Samuel Yount, 37 at Starbucks on Cypress Avenue.
Police said Kuks and Yount met at the Starbucks and got into an argument about Kuks's relationship with Yount's daughter. Kuks remains in Shasta County Jail, his bail is set at $500,000. He faces 13 years to life in prison if convicted of the charges.
