ADIN, Calif. -

Fire officials are responding to a vegetation fire in Modoc County.

The 10-acre fire is burning off of Highway 299 near Adin Pass. Modoc National Forest fire crews and CAL FIRE crews are on scene. They expect to have the fire fully contained by 4:00p.m. Thursday.

The fire started on the west side of Highway 299 and has spread to the east side. Highway 299 was under one-way traffic control but has since been reopened since 3:30p.m

There are no evacuations, although at one point the Sheriff's Office warned residents in the Rush Creek area of possible evacuations.
