FBI agents have broken up an alleged prostitution ring that included brothels in five Northern California cities from Chico to Stockton.
Federal authorities arrested three people for harboring illegal aliens.
Agents found alleged brothels in Chico, Fairfield, Sacramento, Yuba City, and Stockton. Most of the prostitutes were from Mexico. The address investigated in Chico is on Shoshone Avenue, just off West 11th Avenue.
Investigators said the women were moved from brothel to brothel at weekly intervals and were not allowed to leave.
Confidential informants, some wearing tape recorders, were used to gather evidence.
According to the indictment, the three suspects are Roberto Urbina-Gonzalez, Everardo Ibarra Regaldo and Corina Dominguez.
The suspects are accused of harboring and transporting illegal aliens and employing illegal aliens as prostitutes.
