CHICO, Calif. -

A car accident closed one lane of southbound Highway 99 through Central Chico Wednesday morning.

It happened just before 8 a.m. just south of Cohasset Road in the southbound lanes.

The CHP said Cory Ratzlaff, 33, was driving her Mazda pickup south on 99 at about 60 miles per hour when she veered off the road, hit a sign and two trees, and the truck spun almost 360 degrees.

She suffered what were described as major cuts and was taken to Enloe Medical Center.
