Chico Bomb Squad Investigates Suspicious Bag
CHICO, Calif. -

The Chico Police bomb squad responded to a report of a suspicious bag found outside the Chico social security office at 1370 East Lassen Avenue.

Officers used a robot to take a closer look at the bag and determined it was an empty suitcase.

Chico Police said it was reported around 8 a.m. Monday on East Lassen Avenue in North Chico.

East Lassen Avenue was closed between Ceres Avenue and Cohasset Road.  

The area was cleared around 11 a.m.
