HAYFORK, Calif. -

Schools in Hayfork are closed Monday due to reports of threats against two school campuses.

The Trinity County Sheriff's Office issued a news release Monday morning saying they were looking for Robert Daniel Watkins, 39 of Hayfork.  At 10:30, the Sheriff's Office said they had located Watkins and told us that he had a history of mental illness.

Watkins allegedly made threats directed toward Hayfork High School and Hayfork Elementary School.

Deputies evacuated students from both Hayfork High School and Hayfork Elementary School.  Buses were rerouted to the Trinity County Fairgrounds where parents picked up their children.

Hyampom schools will remain open.
