Two different power outages early Monday left thousands of Northstate residents in the cold and in the dark.
The first outage was in Paradise. The lights went out Sunday around 11:30 p.m. PG&E said a tree fell onto a power line on Scottwood Road, affecting about 3,500 customers. Power was restored at approximately 4:12 a.m.
Another outage started Monday at 6:45 a.m. in Shingletown in Shasta County. PG&E officials said a tree fell and broke a power line impacting 1,480 customers. PG&E crews responded. Power is expected to be returned by noon Monday.
