Redding's favorite family of eagles is growing. The pair of eagles, Liberty and Patriot, have the first egg of 2013 in their nest at Turtle Bay. New pictures on the "Friends of the Redding Eagles" facebook page show Liberty sitting on the egg.
The egg was spotted on the eagle-cam just after 5 p.m. Wednesday.
Liberty could lay another egg sometime in the next few days.
