People living in north-eastern Shasta County are being asked to conserve their water Wednesday.
The Bella Vista Water District says the Wintu Pumping Plant on the Sacramento River will be turned off from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday.
That will let PG&E replace power poles.
Customers are being asked to cut back on their use including outdoor watering to make sure there's a reserve for firefighters.
An estimated 16,000 people will be affected in Bella Vista and Palo Cedro.
