Willows Man Arrested For Child Molestation

A Willows man is facing numerous charges after being arrested Monday for suspected child molestation.

Chico Police launched the investigation Monday afternoon after receiving a report of a 21-year-old involved in molesting a child under the age of 14.

Detectives contacted Cody Burrows of Willows shortly thereafter and arrested him in a parking lot on the 100 block of Eaton Road in Chico.

Burrows was booked into Butte County Jail on multiple counts of committing lewd acts on a child and sending harmful matter to a child.  His bail is set at $315,000.

Chico Police confirmed to KRCR News Channel 7 that the victim is a young female under the age of 14.  Other than that, no information has been released as to the girl's identity or how she came into contact with the suspect.
