The man accused of shooting three people in Paradise, killing one of them pleaded not guilty to all of the charges Thursday morning.
Robert McClintock is charged with one count of first degree murder and two counts of attempted murder. He’s accused of shooting his brother, 49-year-old Rodney McClintock and Rodney’s daughter, 12-year-old Chloe McClintock.
Police said he also shot and killed Chloe’s mom, 53-year-old Nancy Taylor.
McClintock reportedly told doctors that he has microchips and pins installed in his head that tell him what to do.
"There is a serious question as to Mr. McClintock's mental stability and we wanted to wait until those evaluations are done,” said Robert Radcliffe, McClintock’s attorney.
The defense is waiting for two doctors to evaluate McClintock's mental state. The reports are due back to the court by April 14.
His trial is set for June 30.
