Vandalism at two churches in Red Bluff landed a suspected gang member in jail.
Just before 11 p.m. Thursday night, Red Bluff Police received a report that people were spray painting the side of the Vineyard Church on Walnut Street.
While officers were on the way they got another call that someone was spray painting the New Hope Four Square Church which is just west of Vineyard Church on Walnut Street.
Officers found 21-year-old Christian Dyer of Red Bluff with spray paint.
Dyer admitted to tagging a building. He claimed he had an accomplice. Police said a total of 10 locations were vandalized by Dyer. Police identified him as a gang member. The graffiti was determined to be gang-related.
Dyer was arrested by officers. They said he was in possession of a container of concentrated cannabis. He was booked on a series of charges including vandalizing a place of worship, participating in a criminal street gang and possession of concentrated cannabis.
