There’s a place in Redding that is making getting your hearing aids more enjoyable.
Audiology Associates of Redding have been in business for about 28 years, but as of two months ago they moved location and have remodeled their new place.
Now their new office has a different flair to it and a lot of customers say they are enjoying it.
As soon as customers open the door, the office doesn't feel like an office anymore. It actually feels more like small-town Main St.
One of the rooms, where ear impressions get made, is the candy room. It is used to keep the clients jaw loose as they get ear impressions molded.
Another one of the rooms is designed as a little park where people can wait for their loved ones who might be getting their hearing checked.
Audiologist Rita McWilliams said she wanted to make her patients feel comfortable and worry-free.
"Hearing loss is a very difficult disability and its very stressful and we didn't want a white-wall, uptight office; we wanted to feel relaxed,” said McWilliams.
Audiology Associates of Redding will be having a grand open house on Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with many activities including a pie tasting contest, free food and live music. They will even hold a drawing for a chance to win a free hearing aid.
Their address is 3328 Churn Creek Road in Redding.
