Burglar caught red-handed by Red Bluff homeowner
A burglar was caught red-handed in Red Bluff after police found him found in the master bedroom of a home trying to stash some jewelry.
The homeowner came home for lunch to find a strange man sitting on her bed. Police say the man who entered the home was 25-year-old John Castro.
The incident happened around noon on the 1300 block of Southpointe Drive.
The homeowner was coming home for lunch when she heard someone grunting upstairs.
She went to look and to her surprise found Castro sitting on her bed.
She tiptoed down stairs and called Red Bluff police.
Castro was arrested in the bedroom. No one was injured and according to the homeowner no items were stolen just displaced.
Police say Castro had also broken into another home earlier in the week. Castro was arrested for two felony counts of burglary, possession of stolen property and a parole violation.
