REDDING, Calif. -

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife office was burglarized early Friday morning.

Fish and Wildlife officials said their alarm system failed to notify them that someone had broken into the facility.

Two suspects entered the building through the roof and according to a CHP report; the suspects were inside the building for an extended period of time due to the amount of damage that was found.

“The alarm system did not activate and items were taken from the building, including some fire arms and then a 2001 dark blue Durango which is a department owned vehicle,” said Patrol Capt. Scott Willems.
