Butte Humane Society's 2nd Annual "Bidwell Bark" brought dogs and their humans together for a day of fun in Lower Bidwell Park.

The event started out with a 5K run and a 2K walk, pups very much included.

Bidwell's Sycamore Field was full of arts and crafts and information, most of it canine oriented.

The Butte County Sheriffs Office K9 unit was there as well.

And dogs even got the opportunity to try their hand at an agility course.

Over a thousand people and pups made the annual fundraiser a success.

"It's now our biggest fundraiser of the year," says Butte Humane Society Board Member Scott Schulman. "It's a great thing that brings the community together. I think to see so many happy dogs interacting with other happy dogs and the people behind them, it's just a feel good thing.

Schulman says the event brings in well over six figures for the Butte Humane Society.
