CHICO, Calif. - As students start graduating and the school year comes to an end, many are scrambling to pack.
Thursday, students at Chico State started to move out of their dorms. The City of Chico closed West Legion Avenue from Warner Street to Citrus Avenue to allow students space to move their belongings.
While on campus, freshman students said they had a good year.
"It was good, it was difficult leaving home, but it was just fun," said Lucas Nelson.
"It was a lot of change and I've learned a lot but it was really fun overall," said McKenna LaCock.
"It was her first year and she's our second child so we were empty nesters," said LaCock's mom, Kim. "So it was really hard for the first couple months and then we kind of get into our own routine."
"I really liked it, it was really fun. I met a lot of new people," said Ryleigh Miller.
Classes for the Fall semester begin August 21.
