OROVILLE, Calif. - For the fourth day, the flood control spillway continues to release 40,00 cubic feet per second (cfs) and inflows remain between 12,000 to 25,000 cfs.
Lake Oroville keeps dropping and now rests at 852.5 feet of elevation. The Hyatt Power Plant is currently discharging 6,450 cfs.
DWR officials are reporting that the low flow section of the Feather River (the river channel through Oroville) is currently at 40,000 cfs. Total flows to the Feather River are approximately 47,000 cfs. DWR advises the public to avoid the river for the next week.
Approximately 1.25 million cubic yards of material have been removed from the debris pile to date.
