OROVILLE, Calif. - Due the proximity of the Tobin Fire, the North Forebay area of Lake Oroville is closed to public use.
The area is now being utilized as an incident command post for firefighting personnel and equipment.
This closure includes all parking lots, picnic areas, and trails within the North Forebay area as well as the Forebay Aquatic Center. This closure has been in place since Tuesday, September 26 and is planned to go through at least Monday, October 10.
Additionally, the closure means that the Family Goose Hunt previously scheduled for October 1-8 has been cancelled with no immediate rescheduled date set.
