REDDING, Calif. -

At least one person was injured and two others detained after a crash near Interstate 5 in Redding early Tuesday.

The crash happened just before 5 a.m. when a sedan ran off June Street.  The street runs parallel to the northbound lanes of the interstate, just south of Cypress Avenue.

Firefighters had to cut through a fence to reach the crashed car after it came to rest in some bushes.

At least three people were inside the Nissan sedan.  One woman was taken to the hospital with a possible broken leg.

Two men were detained for questioning but not arrested.
