CHICO, Calif. -

A three-car chain reaction accident slowed traffic on Highway 32 east of Chico Thursday.

The collision happened around 9:15 a.m. in a construction zone at Highway 32 and Humboldt Road.

A line of westbound cars were stopped on Highway 32 waiting to be flagged through a construction zone.

A witness said a Jeep Cherokee approached the line of cars from behind at approximately 55 miles per hour.  The Cherokee failed to stop and slammed into the back of a pickup truck,  sending the pickup in the car in front of it.

No one was seriously injured.
