The woman accused in a mass shooting at a Modoc County tribal headquarters pleaded not guilty in court Monday. Cherie Lash Rhoades, 44, wore a bullet proof vest to the Modoc County Courthouse as her arraignment was continued from last week.
Lash will return to court April 23 at 11a.m.
The judge denied Lash bail. The District Attorney's Office and law enforcement will work on getting more discovery evidence.
Lash is facing four counts of murder for the death of her brother Rurik Davis, niece Angel Penn, nephew Glenn Calonico and Sheila Russo.
Additional charges include attempted premeditated murder of Melissa Davis and Monica Davis.
The shooting happened on February 20 at the Cedarville Rancheria Tribal Office in Alturas.
The tribal attorney said Lash was being evicted from tribal land because of a federal embezzlement investigation into a missing $50,000.
