Burglary Suspect
CHICO, Calif. -

A burglary suspect has been caught on camera, and Chico Police are asking for help in identifying him.

On Tuesday morning, officers were called to an alarm at AicoraGems “Jewelry Box” Gallery on Mangrove Avenue in Chico where they met with the owner.

According to police, a window in the back of the store was broken. Officers looked at the video surveillance and found that the suspect had allegedly shattered it to get inside.

Police were able to get an image of the suspect and described him as a 25-year-old white man, about 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing about 160 pounds. The picture from inside the store showed him wearing a blue-grey striped hooded sweatshirt, and a baseball hat.

Officers said he went in the business and headed straight for the cash register, where he was able to take some money. He was inside for less than 30-seconds before leaving out the back door.

Anyone with information about this crime is being asked to call the Chico Police Department at (530) 895-4911.
