REDDING, Calif. -

The wheels of justice could be slowed in Shasta County.

Court workers in Shasta County are staging a one-day strike.  Those workers will be picketing in front of the courthouse Monday.

The one-day strike was authorized by 80 percent of union members.   The striking workers include court clerks and reporters.

They said they haven't gotten a raise in 7 years, while administrators have gotten large pay increases.

The union is asking for an 8 percent pay hike.  The court administrator said her staff will make up for the loss of staffing.
