The Five Counties Central Labor Council held its 25th annual "Picnic in the Park" today.
Many gathered to enjoy some family time. The event was open to anyone in the community. There was a variety of food options, along with all kinds of kid-friendly fun.
Organizers said it’s important to have events like this
"For all the people that came ahead of us that fought and died for 40 hour work weeks, weekends, and an 8 hour work day," said Mark Mulliner, who is president of the council.
The event went on from 11am to 4pm.
