EBT back after system outage
On Saturday night the Associated Press reported access to food stamps has been restored, according to a spokesperson for Xerox.
A glitch in the food stamp program affected people in 17 states including California.
Those who use EBT were unable to buy groceries with their cards today.
Vendor, Xerox, said a system failure is causing the probelm.
It affected stores throughout the north state including, Chico's WinCo and Food Maxx in Redding.
The U.S. Government said the outage was not related to the Federal Government shutdown.
