CARSON, Calif. -

A dream season for the Enterprise Hornets ended in defeat Saturday night, with a 41-9 loss to Southern California powerhouse Chaminade, a private school in West Hills.

The win gave Chaminade the CIF Division II football championship, and left Enterprise to settle for second.

Still, it was the farthest any team from Northern California had ever gone in a high school football season, and, the farthest any team ever had to travel for a state championship game.
