Extreme Heat: Flex Alert issued urging energy conservation
An excessive heat warning has been issued for the Northstate as temperatures are expected to remain in the triple digits all week.
With these extreme temperatures a Flex Alert has been issued. The California Independent System Operator is asking you to conserve energy Monday and Tuesday.
Consumers in Northern California are urged to avoid using major appliances, especially in the afternoon. Peak demand is expected at 4:30 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday.
