REDDING, Calif. -

A bald eagle fell from the sky in Redding on Friday afternoon. The eagle was reportedly fighting with another eagle near Park Marina Dr.

It was reported that the eagle began to fly off and and plummeted straight down to the ground and crashed.

The eagle was sent to Haven Humane where California department of Fish and Wildlife examined it.

“There is some sort of head trauma on it, although it does look to be older,” said Jennifer Carlson from California Department of Fish and Wildlife. “Either it has a dislocation or a breakage in the left leg so at this point we are not sure if it's related or the cause of the accident.”

Neither the eagle's gender nor the cause of death have been confirmed.
