CAL FIRE is on the scene of a house fire at 2951 Foothill Boulevard in the Kelly Ridge area of Oroville.
When firefighters arrived the upper floor was fully involved in flames.
CAL FIRE said the fire was reported at 11:07 a.m. Friday. Firefighters responded with seven engines and aircraft due to the initial threat to wild lands. They appear to have prevented the fire from spreading.
CAL FIRE said that with that the Branch Fire still burning, firefighter resources are slim.
"The branch fire is quite a ways in where it takes a lot of traveling time to get to the area," said Captain Scott McLean. "So we have a significant amount of equipment on that fire and we back filling the county with other equipment from other counties.
Power lines were reported down in the area, and 63 customers were without power.
It appears no one was home when the fire broke out. The estimated damage cost is around $100,000.
