PG&E working to restore electricity after overnight outages
More than 5,300 PG&E customers woke up without power before dawn Friday morning.
Crews worked through the early morning hours and by 7:30 a.m. they had restored power to about half of those customers.
As of 8 a.m. 2,881 customers were without power in 30 different outages.
The largest remaining outage was in Whitmore where 432 customers were without power.
Other areas affected Friday were Round Mountain, Quicy, Whitmore, and Butte Meadows.
Due to power outages, classes were canceled at Whitmore School and Oak Run School.
