PARADISE, Calif. -

A reported hazmat situation closed Honey Run Road in Paradise Friday morning.   A hazmat team was called to a ravine where dozens of small yellow butane containers were found.

The containers were reported around 8:30 a.m. Friday.

After further investigation, it was determined the containers were empty and left in an area with other trash in the ravine.

A firefighter said these are the type of butane containers that are often used in processing methamphetamine.

The road was reopened within a couple of hours.   Firefighters said the empty containers did not pose a danger.
