The Food and Drug Administration is investigating a Hepatitis A outbreak linked to a frozen organic berry mix sold by an Oregon company.
The F.D.A. said 30 cases have been linked to "Townsend Farms Organic Antioxidant Blend" and one of those cases is in Shasta County.
The Center for Disease Control and Prevention said some people have reported buying the mix at Costco; the store says it has since been removed from the stores.
Shasta County Public Health told us the virus is passed through fecal matter and orally, but if you're exposed it is not a reason to panic.
Some symptoms of Hepatitis A include nausea, vomiting, fatigue, jaundice and dark urine.
If you think you might be at risk, contact your doctor.
Vaccinations are available but experts say washing your hands is the best line of defense for this and many other illnesses.
