ORLAND, Calif. -

It was a beautiful sunny morning in Glenn County.  So why did a school face a flooding problem?

Parents driving their children to Lake District Elementary School in Orland had to drive around a flooded Road 9.

An irrigation problem on a neighboring prune orchard created the water hazard.  Early Wednesday morning, more than two feet of water covered the road in front of the school.  It spilled over into the schoolyard.

By late morning, the water started to recede.
